Description of LAR Raylan: We are really excited about partnering with Steve Azinger at Lazy A Ranch on this exciting young bull. He has a well known pedigree and combines body and horn really well. He is going to be a big bull. He weighed 75 pounds at birth and has continued to be bigger than most calves his age. His dam was a beautiful cow with nearly 100" total horn, and his sire is one of the best bulls in the breed for both beefy conformation and big horn base. He has a chance to be very special! Update (12/11/15) - we are expecting our first Raylan calves as early as a month from now, and we are really excited to see if they have the same great conformation of their sire. We just put Raylan with our large group of replacement heifers for calves in the fall of 2016. Updated (March of 2016) - we have recently purchased the other half of Raylan from Lazy A Ranch. We have been so happy with the way he has developed and wanted to be able to use him year round. Thank you Steve and Rene for raising and selling us such a nice herd sire! Update (February of 2019) - after three really nice calf crops, we have sold Raylan. We have two really nice sons of his that we consider elite bull prospects right now, and we will likely use at least one of them in the future. Raylan gave us thick bodied, smooth calves with very nice horns. He will have a strong impact on our herd for some time.
