Description of CO War Paint: War Paint has been the oldest cow on our place for a while now. Her dam was one of our first three cows, and War Paint is from our second ever calf crop. The first foundation cross for us was Brawl daughters out of Rope Burn daughters. These genetics were a big part of Bob Coffee's Travis Peak herd, and Mr. Coffee is the one who gave us a start in the longhorn breed. Longhorns are known for longevity, and especially for producing calves later in life, and War Paint has been a good example of this. She calved every spring from age 2 through age 18. She is also the grandmother of CO Pinta who sold for $49,000 at the Legacy II Sale. War Paint is a very special cow to us!
