Description of The Legend: The Legend is one of the most exciting herd sire prospects we have raised. We purchased his twisty horned dam Lollypop as an eight year old. She went on to be our favorite cow and give us ten calves. She bred back quickly, stayed in great shape, and raised some of our fattest calves. These things combined with her twisty horns, beautiful coat, and gentle personality made her stand out as a particularly special longhorn. Unfortunately she passed away the day after The Legend was born. This look-a-like son of hers was destined to be special, but his future was uncertain without a mother to raise him. Fortunately, one of our recip cows Charlotte, who is half jersey, adopted him and did a fantastic job raising him. The color, twist potential, and mothering ability genetics of The Legend are all elite. We are eager to see the impact he will have on our herd in the years to come!
